Rosetta Stone Blog

Provide unique functions for a WordPress blog

Rosetta Stone was looking to create a blog surrounding the topic of language learning. The wanted to allow customers and language learners post their experiences as well as allowing company topic experts to posts stories. The needed a custom WordPress theme for this effort and needed some unique functionality.

The WordPress blog needed to be split into two parts, once for each type of author and the two post categories could not be mixed in the same archives or indexes. This required some custom programming and functionality.

Custom post type templates we also created to allow authors to create showcase posts, featured image areas and stories. In the end the WordPress blog was to be hosted on Automattic’s VIP Hosting service, which requires very strict standards of coding. In the end the blog does very well and is an asset for traffic and subject matter for Rosetta Stone.
